Adaptive Community Engagement for ageing workforce (ACE4Ageing)

Call Reference:
SC1-DTH–03–2018 (RIA)
Short description of project idea :
Ageins is a challenge that involves not only a (growing) segment of the population, but european society as a whole. Therefore, in order to be effective, proposed solutions and services need to be comprehensive and take into account the needs of the entire society. Furthermore, they don’t have to be limited to the workplace, but involve the different spatial dimentions of the “ageing EU citizen”: home, work, community and on the move. What the project wants to bring about is a cultural change in approach to ageing and work, and design convincing solutions able to consolidate such innovative approach. A cultural shift of this kind can only be obtained with the involvement of the community as a whole, so with a four helix based approach. In the light of the above considerations, the project will be based on a thorough user needs analysis with involvement of all the actors of the community – and on a multi-disciplinary methodology (humanities + technology).

Main areas of expertise:
ProMIS main tasks can be summarized as follow: a)offering opportunities for information, dissemination and training; b) fostering the capacity building ofpublic administrations at any level of governance of the national social-healthcare system; c) respondingthe needs jointly expressed by the regions and local social-healthcare authorities; d) stimulating theparticipation of Italian clusters to national and European consortia and transnational initiatives; e)supporting the regions and other public administrations in transferring knowledge and competences across the network and beyond at EU level. ProMIS ensures effective and continuous connection with the EU institutions securing exchange of information, scaling up of innovative practices and participationto specific European networks and multipliers initiatives. ProMIS has facilitated thepreparatory activities and follow up to support Regions and local healthcare stakeholders to participateto the European Innovation Partnership for Active and Healthy Ageing (EIP on AHA), including the application to become a Reference Site. In fact, since its beginning ProMIS has promoted opportunities of confrontation among the Italian regions about themes concerned with active and healthy ageing, also stimulated by the cooperation developed in the international context and coherent to it. ProMIS has systematically offered opportunities of information and discussion, organizing more than 10 national & international workshops and conferences, satisfying the needs jointly expressed by the regions. Moreover, ProMIS keeps a continuous connection with the communitarian institutions, granting theparticipation of a representative of the European Commission and/or the European networks tothe specific events. Finally, ProMIS has developed preparatory activities to help Italian Regions apply to the call for theReference Sites and for the commitments, explaining the details of the calls, facilitating theaccess to the useful information in order to prepare the proposal, thus making the Italian Regionscompete at their best with the other European Regions. To conclude, Italian Regions agreed to draft a document focusing on their organisation methodology in order to provide a complete document to EIP-AHA which explores Italian Reference Sites organizationalsystems describing their management, methods and tools. It relies on validation elements of the RSs’model to be shared at European level. From the beginning of 2017, ProMIS set up a “Migration Working Group”, composed by local and regional authorities representing eight Italian regions, (Toscana,Campania, Sardinia, Molise, Calabria, Sicilia, Autonomous Province of Trento and Basilicata) which dealswith migration issues. Migration programmes and policies of these administrations are of the extremerelevance in the Italian national context both for geographical and historical reasons: the geographicalcoverage includes both Northern and Centre-Southern territories while the Southern Regions wherehistorically immigrants mainly concentrate are fully represented.
